Victoria McKay is the indomitable God of Pride who became the first god by crushing all who challenged her at a very young age. She is considered to be one of the most powerful beings in the series, and Watcher has suggested that she is destined to surpass him in strength.

Her Personal Skill is Agony Absorber, which allows her to keep acting normally even under intense pain.

She appears in The Tenth God and The Pride of Sheep.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Lord is known for her unrelenting confidence, she refuses to accept defeat under any circumstances. She has a gentle heart, and hates the suffering of others, growing her own strength to protect those who are weaker. She has been shown to be stubborn and set in her ways at times, refusing to accept that others might hold better solutions than her. Unfortunately, it is often the case that her only solution is a direct confrontation, which works well on the battlefield but leads her to tension in personal interactions. Even so, most consider her to be a fair and wise individual who will put everything on the line to protect her principles.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

A woman of average height with pale skin. Lord has shoulder-length blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. Her nose is sharp and she has full, red lips that are often set in a confident smirk. She usually wears a long purple dress and heels. She carries herself with an immense confidence which often rubs people the wrong way if they aren't aware of who she is.

A pair of purple metal gauntlets and accompanying metal boots and greaves, neon blue energy glows from within the joints. The back of the gauntlets and the soles of her boots have rockets in them. When in mech form Lord wears a skintight purple and black suit which covers her entire body below the neck, as well as pulling her hair back in a ponytail.

Lord's mech is a small design comprised only of metal gauntlets, boots, and greaves, all colored purple with neon blue glowing from the joints. Using the rockets in the boots and at the back of the gauntlets, she launches herself at foes to smash them with overwhelming power. If a foe is heavily armored, she uses the heat cannons in her palms to melt through it and expose weak points. She relies heavily on her Spark for defense, as it converts any and all damage she would otherwise take into pain, which she is more than suited to handle. And should an enemy somehow push her to the brink, she can use Heartsurge to completely paralyze tham and their mech, preventing any action for several seconds, during which she can pummel them into submission.

Life[edit | edit source]

Lord grew up in Pride during the early years of the Divination System. Privileged enough to not only be born into the upper castes, but to one of the most powerful combatants Pride had ever seen, Lord was afforded every resource in her training. Even among the privileged she distinguished herself, showing wisdom and power well beyond her years as early as age four. She was destined for a high position among the people of Pride, perhaps even taking on her mother's role.

During this era, there was a sort of faction war wherein children were no longer allowed to study mech combat freely, but were forced to choose which school of combat they would devote themselves to at the age of seven. Once they had done so, they were put to the test against one another, with the victorious faction gaining prestige for the fact that even their children were so powerful. Lord's participation in this contest as cut short by the arrival of Watcher, who whisked her and her friend Wally away from the fight.

While her other friends searched for her, Lord and Wally explored the Planes with Watcher, learning more about the land they lived in. Lord began to notice something off about her supposed benefactor, and soon came to the conclusion that he was going to attack her. But Lord refused to fight, no matter how much he threatened her, not truly believing that he was the villain her claimed to be. And even after he severely injured her, she still refused to fight. Instead Watcher was defeated by the timeless guardian, Chronos.

Five years later, Watcher would return and lead Lord to her first encounter with a rogue science group. Run by the monstrous Ark, this group held no qualms about the results of their inhumane experiments. Seeing that the adults in her life turned a blind eye to such groups, Lord called on her old friends to help her fight this group. This turned into a much more challenging ordeal than her encounter with Watcher, and the death of Fowl Carlisle made it so she would always regret involving her friends. Despite setbacks and tragedy, Lord managed to succeed in her mission, becoming the first of the gods of Tempest in the process. Ark wasn't finished though, and vowed revenge, kidnapping Wally as she made her escape.

Lord and her friends spent the next few years continuing to challenge other rogue science groups and searching for whatever hole Ark had crawled into. When they eventually found her again, she had brought Wally over to her side as an accomplice. Wally and Ark together proved too difficult to stop, and Lord and her friends were forced to retreat. This failure hung over them, and within a few more years, all but Tesla had abandoned the cause. Even though it was just the two of them, they kept fighting to take down Ark and Wally.

But even that was doomed to end, as Tesla disappeared under mysterious circumstances, leaving Lord alone. It was shortly after this that Ark created Adam, a genetically engineered sibling to Tesla that was designed to frustrate and hurt Lord at every opportunity. Despite knowing what he was meant to be, Lord felt responsible for his existence, and took him as her son. Afterwards, she significantly reduced her involvement with what had once been her life's work, choosing instead to focus on unifying and ruling the Plane of Pride.

Role[edit | edit source]

TTG[edit | edit source]

During the time of TTG, Lord was serving as the ruler of Pride and the de facto leader of Tempest's gods. When Cardinal first made contact with the gods, Lord was by far the most eager to help, much as she had been with Adam and Temperance before. As such, she felt deeply betrayed when Cardinal accused the gods of plotting against her. This feeling of betrayal led Lord to propose the Tournament.

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Adam[edit | edit source]

Adam is Lord's adopted son, but their relationship is a rocky one. Adam was a gift of sorts from one of Lord's enemies, a boy genetically engineered to frustrate her immensely without ever driving her past the limit of her patience. She loves him dearly, but struggles to keep her cool when faced with his constant attitude.

Temperance[edit | edit source]

Having taken Temperance from her parents, who refused to accept the help that she desperately needed, Lord has many insecurities regarding her adopted daughter. She tries her hardest to protect Temperance, but Temperance admires Lord greatly, and is always pushing herself to try to be more like her mother.

Princess[edit | edit source]

Lord has a deep admiration for her mother, but it has sadly driven a rift between them. Lord cannot reconcile the fact that she has become stronger than Princess, whom she has always looked up to as invincible, and distances herself to avoid having to confront that fact.
